the years but have always liked the looks and nostalgia associated with

Ford Produced nearly 1 Million
Anglia 105E Saloons (954,426)
add to that the Estate Derivative (129,529)
and the Vans (205,001) making the total vehicles produced very near to
1.3 Million, an excellent result for Ford which enabled them to take the
105E's basic running gear and produce the hugely successful Escort. The Price of the Basic Saloon was £589.
My
105E Project:
I am currently building a 105E for
road and occasional track use. My dream consists of a Shiney black car
with bright chrome trim and white and red sign written decals.
I want to introduce my little 60's car to some of today's technology, so
a 2001/2 Mondeo Duratec HE engine will be mated to a Sierra type 9
gearbox with Quaife internals this will in turn drive a LSD equipped
axle.
The handling will be improved by using a 5 link setup on the rear axle
and fitting a proven Escort front clip. Brakes will also see a complete
revamp with AP front disks and a Sierra disk setup on the rear. I will be keeping the 'My Car'
section updated so keep a look out for progress.
POO's Progress:
Its been a bit slow lately, I have
been a little distracted with one thing or another but the project is
back in full swing. I will be doing a major update in the next couple of
weeks.
