Well Its been a long time coming and a few hurdles have been over come, I will write a little story soon to explain all, but after about 16 years of knowing about this car and about 8 years of trying to buy it finally Its mine!

Plan: My theme for this car is to complement the 1963 shell with up to date with 2003 technology. So my engine choice is the Ford/Mazda I4 Duratec engine this is available in 1.8 2.0 and 2.3 litre (further info on the engine here), I am using the 2.0 capacity and have sourced an engine from a late 2002 Mondeo. The gearbox will be a Ford type '9' gearbox from a Sierra with a Quaife straight cut gear set this will be mated to an uprated 5 linked axle. Engine management will be courtesy of Motec and the original induction setup replaced with a set of throttle bodies from Raceline. As for the look of the car I am going for a high gloss Dark finish with bright chromed furnishings and any sign writing being applied in white or orange. I am going to fit 2 lightweight bucket seats inside, a lightweight cage along with new instruments and to keep up with the lightweight theme I will be using aluminium and other lightweight materials wherever I can afford to do so in an attempt to keep the car to its original 740Kgs.
