A quick rack, 8 inch front wheels adorning slick tyres.. I was thinking my steering might be a little heavy,  an electronic power steering system courtesy of a 2002 Vauxhall Corsa will be employed to ease things up a touch.

This system is controlled by a powerful ECU that adjusts the amount of assistance the motor provides depending on the actual driving conditions.

Electrical Power Steering (EPS) Systems' key components are the motor, control unit.
The motor has high reliability, high power, low noise/vibration, low loss torque, and a small packaging size/weight.
The Super Silent Motor design achieves an incredible audible noise reduction.

Features:
Mounting Location - steering column, R & P gear box
Unique control algorithm - better steering feeling
CAN-compatible design
DC brush motor with super silent motor technologies
Fuel economy and performance - increases
Drivability - improves
Parking - easy steering

The Wheel Speed sensor goes to a Brown thing that looks like a relay in the fuse box, 5 pins are designated:
IN1, IN2 (for the wheel speed sensor), OUT (blue red wire on the steering ECU), 15, 68 which are commonly Power and Earth.
The are 4 other wires that went to the original ECU.

System Diagram.

The actual mechanism.. looks simple doesn't it!

This is the wheel speed sensor the 29 tooth wheel was fixed to the driveshaft.

Closer look at the ECU and Motor

Its a squeeze but it just fits under the dash
